Reaching maturity in 90 days, 'Sweet Adelaide' is a dwarf tomato variety ideal for mid to late-season cultivation. Its rugose, regular leaf foliage produces medium-sized, pink-colored tomatoes, averaging around eight ounces each, with a deliciously balanced flavor. This vigorous and productive variety is perfect for slicing.
Selected from the "Happy family" ('New Big Dwarf' and 'Paul Robeson') within the "Dwarf Tomato Project," 'Sweet Adelaide' is the result of collaborative efforts by Patrina Nuske Small, who bestowed the name, along with Jeff Casey, Craig LeHoullier, David Lockwood, Lurley Hernandez, Ted Maiden, Doug Frank, Damon Huck, Tanya Kucak, and Bill Minkey. It was introduced in 2014, with each seed packet containing approximately 20 seeds.
