In 70 days, the compact 'Dwarf Pink Opal' tomato plants, with their abundant, wrinkled regular leaves, yield cherry-type fruits of varying sizes, ranging from one to three ounces each. These fruits are pink in color and boast excellent flavor.
An offering from the "Dwarf Tomato Project," 'Dwarf Pink Opal' was chosen from the "Muddy" family by Susan Oliverson, who not only conducted the majority of the work but also gave it its name. Craig LeHoullier and Carol Knapp also played significant roles in the development of this variety.
Bill Minkey oversaw the production of the seed quantity for release, and it was introduced for the gardening season of 2018. Each packet typically contains at least 20 seeds.
