In just 70 days, 'Dwarf Golden Heart,' a robust dwarf tomato variety, showcases vigorous, wrinkled, and regular leaf plants that yield a bountiful harvest of medium to medium-large-sized tomatoes. These tomatoes, ranging from four to ten ounces, are blunt and heart-shaped, with a medium yellow color and pale flesh, offering a delightful and balanced sweetness.
'Dwarf Golden Heart' emerged from the collaborative efforts of the "Dwarf Tomato Project," resulting from a crossbreeding between 'Anna Banana Russian' and 'Roza Vetrov,' led by Patrina Nuske Small. Linda Black carefully selected and named this variety. Stabilization efforts involved contributions from Lurley Hernandez, Christy Shedd, Dan Follett, Jason Ford, Paul Fish, Linda Stormes, and Craig LeHoullier. The initial seed sample was cultivated and provided by Bill Minkey. 'Dwarf Golden Heart' was introduced in 2015, with each seed packet containing approximately 20 seeds.
