Maturing in 90 days, 'Dwarf Elsie's Fancy' features rugose, potato leaf plants adorned with attractive variegation. They yield medium to large-sized, four to twelve ounce, oblate-shaped, bright yellow fruits. While sharing the same fruit size, shape, flavor, and maturity period as 'Dwarf Walter's Fancy', the key difference lies in their skin color.
'Dwarf Elsie's Fancy', along with 'Dwarf Walter's Fancy' and 'Dwarf Pico's Pride', mark the pioneering variegated dwarf varieties developed by the Dwarf Tomato Project and introduced by the Victory Seed Company for the 2021 gardening season. Originating from the "Acey" family, it was affectionately named by Craig LeHoullier in honor of his grandmother, Elsie, who was Walter's wife. Other notable contributors include Pete Adland, Tom Martucci, Susan Oliverson, Debra Kennedy, Jared Scoville, Kevin Campbell, Caitlin LeHoullier, and Bill Minkey. Each packet contains a minimum of 20 seeds.
