In the mid-season, 'Dwarf Tiger Eye' presents rugose, regular leaf plants yielding abundant four to six ounce, brown-colored, paste-type tomatoes renowned for their wonderfully balanced, pleasant flavor.
The lineage of the "Leggy" family traces back to a cross orchestrated by Sherry Long, blending one of the Dwarf Tomato Project's "Lazy" selections with 'Orange Banana'. The "Lazy" family itself was crafted by Patrina Nuske Small, merging 'Purple Russian' with 'Kangaroo Paw Brown', one of the released dwarfs from the "Witty" family. 'Dwarf Tiger Eye' emerged as a standout selection, named by Susan Oliverson. Alongside Sherry, the development team included Craig LeHoullier and Susan Oliverson, with Bill Minkey overseeing the production of the final selection. Each packet includes a minimum of 20 seeds.
