Arriving in the mid-season, 'Dwarf Sunny's Pear' is a dwarf tomato variety known for its highly productive rugose, regular leaf plants. The fruit, resembling a paste-type, weigh in at one to two ounces each, displaying a yellow-orange hue and offering a well-balanced, pleasant flavor.
The lineage of the "Fancy" family traces back to a crossbreeding effort led by Sherry Long, involving a selection from the "Sunny" family of the Dwarf Tomato Project and 'Orange Pear'. From this lineage, 'Dwarf Sunny's Pear' was carefully selected and named by Susan Oliverson, with involvement from Craig LeHoullier in its development, while Bill Minkey cultivated the final selection. Each seed packet contains a minimum of 20 seeds.
