In a timeframe of 75 days, the 'Dwarf Metallica' plants, featuring rugose regular leaves, reach a height of two to three feet. The fruits, ranging from four to sixteen ounces each, display a pink color with green stripes, showcasing an oblate to slightly heart-shaped form and offering a well-balanced flavor that is mildly sweet and tangy.

The "Beauty" family traces its origins to a cross conducted by Vincent Lavallo, involving the "Dwarf Tomato Project" release 'Dwarf Wild Fred' and the indeterminate variety 'Beauty King'. From this lineage, 'Dwarf Metallica' was meticulously chosen and named by Suzanne Dzejachok. Notable contributors to the development of this variety include Craig LeHoullier, Susan Oliverson, Nancy Ruhl, Ray Newstead, Justin Sieglaff, Barbara Kambourelis, and Anne Haywood, with Bill Minkey and John Dunton overseeing the growth of the release.

While we have noted the occasional presence of off-type plants, efforts to refine the variety are ongoing. However, it is largely stable. Each seed packet comprises a minimum of 20 seeds.

In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Arctic Rose' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Arctic Rose' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
