As a mid-season variety with a 90-day maturity period, 'Dwarf Beryl Beauty' stands out as one of the most productive new additions from the "Dwarf Tomato Project." Its distinctive deep green, wrinkled potato leaf foliage and robust central stem typically grow to a height of around four feet, possibly more under certain conditions.

The fruit of 'Dwarf Beryl Beauty' is smooth, round, and ranges from three to five ounces in size. Upon ripening, they exhibit minimal color change, though many develop a faint pink blush at the blossom end. With bright green flesh, these tomatoes offer a balanced, full, and delicious flavor.

Derived from a cross between 'Golden Dwarf Champion' and 'Green Giant,' conducted in 2006 by Patrina Nuske Small in Australia, 'Dwarf Beryl Beauty' was carefully selected and named by Craig LeHoullier, drawing inspiration from the gemstone Beryl for its similar coloring. Now in its ninth generation, it has achieved considerable stability as an open-pollinated variety, albeit with the occasional off-type plant.

Contributors to its development include Michael Volk, Richard Watson (New Zealand), Howard Kushner, Lisa Moore, Reinhard Kraft (Germany), and Bill Minkey. 'Dwarf Beryl Beauty' was introduced in 2011, with each seed packet containing approximately 20 seeds.
