Maturing in 90 days, 'Lucky Swirl' stands out as a rugose, regular leaf variety, yielding medium-large (five to twenty ounces) bi-color fruit in shades of yellow and red. The smooth, slightly ribbed, oblate-shaped fruit is juicy and meaty, offering a delightful mild and sweet flavor.

This variety, a product of the "Dwarf Tomato Project," originated from a cross between 'Dwarf Russian Swirl' and 'Lucky Cross.' Initially bred by Ray South under the name "Jaunty," it was further developed with the contributions of Marjorie Holloway, Dee Sackett, Robbins Hail, Shawn Conant, Lisa Moore, Willa Osis, Justin Sieglaff, Marsha Eisenberg, Susan Oliverson, Craig LeHoullier, and Bill Minkey. Introduced for the 2016 gardening season, each seed packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Arctic Rose' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Arctic Rose' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
