In a span of 60 days, the 'Bundaberg Rumball' plants, characterized by their vigorous yet compact nature and rugose regular leaves, abundantly yield medium to medium-small-sized (two to three ounces) round, chocolate-colored fruit. These fruits boast a delightful and well-balanced sweet flavor.

Crafted through a cross between 'Black from Tula' and 'Budai Torpe' by Patrina Nuske Small, 'Bundaberg Rumball' was developed as part of the "Dwarf Tomato Project." Richard Allen played a key role in selecting and naming this variety. Noteworthy contributors to the stabilization of this dwarf plant include Patrina, Howard Kushner, Carol Knapp, Ted Maiden, Christy Shedd, Amanda Fischer, Craig LeHoullier, and Bill Minkey. The variety was introduced in 2015, and each seed packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Arctic Rose' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Arctic Rose' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.   Compare to baker creek heirloom seeds.
